“Like most Orange County cities, the city of Orange is a safe and well-managed place but it faces the usual array of municipal problems. It has plenty of reserves but looming pension liabilities. Orange also struggles with homeless problems and soaring home prices. We believe the following slate offers the best choice for maintaining the city’s quality of life and tackling those enduring problems.
…For District 3, we endorse Kathy Tavoularis. She is an incumbent council member – appointed last year to replace a member who stepped down after a judge ruled that he had violated term limits. Tavoularis is a longtime Orange resident and political player who brings a wealth of community experience to her role. She’s is a reliable conservative voice on the council.”
